Three people died after a small private jet crashed into an Idaho building.

A press release from the NAMPA Police Department (NPD) said that “several 911 calls” crashed at around 5:40 pm on Sunday, July 27.

Police then responded to the scene in the 200 block of Venice Street, where they found “a small crashed aircraft” and attacked “an empty outbuilding in the residential area.”

A neighbor told ABC member Kivi-TV that he saw planes surrounding the ground in the area and then around the ground. Another said he saw smoke from the crash from miles away.

Videos from Kivi-TV and NBC branch KTVB show mixed planes sitting in the yard of a house.

Police said three people were on the plane during the crash. None of them survived, and their identities have not been released yet.

According to KTVB, two victims died at the scene, while the third victim died in the hospital. Meanwhile, police said: “No one was injured on the ground.”

“Of course, our hearts and prayers pray to families related to this,” NPD Lieutenant Brad Childress told Kivi-TV. “Receiving this information is by no means good news.”

“My heart is sad for those who have died miserably. Our thoughts and prayers are with their extended family during this difficult time,” Mayor Debbie Kling said in a statement shared by the NPD.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) registry and Flightaware, the plane involved in the crash is the Mooney M-20.

The FAA Registry issued valid certification in March 2024 based on fixed-wing single-engine aircraft. The aircraft is registered as the Sleepytime PLLC in Eagle City.

For each flying car, the plane traveled only two miles before it crashed.

According to police, the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the crash.
