OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha police and fire rescue groups reported a fatal two-vehicle crash on Pacific Street near the Interstate 680 junction on Friday.
Two people, one adult and one child, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after the crash, OPD reportedly told the first alarm 6 that the two died in the crash.
The crash involved two cars: a pickup truck and a small black SUV. The driver is the only occupant of the truck. Police said there were seven people in the SUV.

The OPD confirmed that five people were taken to Children's Hospital, Chi-Bergan Mercy and Nebraska Medicine.
He said, at present, what is the cause of the crash. Police are still investigating who owns the right of way.
Authorities blocked traffic in both directions on the bridge on I-680. Eastward traffic is closed at 114th Street.
Pacific Street reopens around 4 p.m.
